The 2003 Case: $3,000 a Month Based on a Lie
In 2003 my ex-wife took me to Family Court for child support. I brought documentation proving I earned $100,000 a year. She told the court I earned much more — with no proof whatsoever. The court believed her anyway, and ordered me to pay $3,000 a month: far more than the child support guidelines recommended.
